- The Art of Glen Keane

For decades now, I’ve been inspired by the work of Disney animator, Glen Keane. He has an implicit understanding of solid drawing, clear posing, weight and mass, and anatomy. As I’ve mentioned before on my personal blog, I had the opportunity to spend a few hours with him at his home in Santa Clarita, CA back in the summer of 1995, when I was a ninth grader. What a treat for a young aspiring artist. That visit was honestly one of the highlights of my growing up years, though I doubt he remembers it at all. The confidence and purpose with which he executes his work has been a great inspiration. Enough talk. Check out this blog to see a catalog of his sketches and animation.
