Friends of Portland Studios,

Today we launched a new online store with lots of new t-shirts and a few new posters.

The whole team here has been working hard all week to make this possible, and we’re really excited about the potential here. Each artist did several different illustrations, while the designers got all the kinks worked out of the Flash for the store interface.

Hopefully you enjoy the new stuff. The shirts are high grade American Apparel T’s, and rather than just one color on our previous lot, many of these shirts have several different colors in the design.

We’re also hosting some exclusive t-shirts and posters for some of our music friends. Derek Webb is allowing us to carry exclusive t-shirts based on artwork for his album, The Ringing Bell, while Caedmon’s Call is partnering with us to provide and exclusive poster based on their new album, Overdressed. Soon, we’ll have some Ringing Bell posters, and be carrying merch from a few other artists as well.

By the way, if you do decide to go ahead and order some shirts, you may opt to pay an extra $10 this time, and be eligible to receive a 10% discount on all future orders. You’ll also become a member of the Starving Artists Foundation, a absolutely for-profit venture that supports the work of our illustrators—while soon giving you access to premium content—like wallpapers, downloads, etc…

Anyway, I hope this hasn’t come across too sales-y, but we’re eager to get the word out to our friends. If there are other people you know who might enjoy what we’re doing, let them know. We need all the help from you that we can get.

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007: Finally.. posters again! (Although the giclees from 12stoneart are awesome) The only thing that’s missing now is a link to this blog on the main page. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to bookmark it if I want to read more.
