- Hacked

We were hacked this weekend. The origin of the word is german and it means “someone who makes furniture with an axe.” I guess such furniture is inelegant, not unlike our RSS feed this morning. I think we may have been victim to something called an SQL injection. This was something to which Wordpress 2.0.5. was vulnerable. At any rate, it pretty much means that someone used our RSS feed to scream indignities across the internet (as though the internet needs any more indignities). We’ve fixed the problem, upgraded wordpress, and I’ve changed my password from something easy to remember (and easy to guess) into something impossible to remember. We’re locked and loaded (I have been looking for a chance to use that expression since 1995), so now the problem should be fixed. Sorry for any surprises. Catch you on the flip side. (Yet another sentence I have been longing to use).
I’m still looking for an excuse to use the sentences “Punch it!” and “Cover me!”
If you can think of one, give me a holler. Thank you kindly.

I have a poem too:
There was a guy
His name is Zach
His blog is cool
(without the hack)
No need to post complements about my poem . . . I know its great.
You’re right . . . that IS great.
I can commiserate. My computer was ‘ajaxified’ the other day. I don’t know what that means, but it’s a bit unsettling to have your computer throw around unidentifiable verbs and then ignore you.
“Ajaxified?” That sounds aggressive.
