Circa History

We’ve been working for some time on the Circa History Website. It launches tomorrow, January 12th. Fortunately, this job fits Portland’s priorities like a glove. Our guys have contributed countless hours (actually, that’s probably not literally true, I’m sure somebody counted them) branding, concepting, coding, designing the site. We also provided the visuals and motion graphics (though not the sound) for two of the three commercials. I think the site benefits quite nicely from our interdiciplinary approach. Also, the site’s narrative elements overlap with our own narrative emphasis.

One particular development to which I look forward concerns the “Tell Us Your Story” bit of the site. This includes personal and family narratives from ordinary folks within the Great American Experiment. I await, with great eagerness, the stories that will pile up, and expect to check back frequently and see what user-generated content arises. The story with the most votes will be developed into an animated short and aired on the Circa History website on July 4th. Incidently, if there is a great American story in your family that is begging to be told, by all means, contribute!

So if you’re lounging about on January 12th or later with nothing much to do, Check out the Circa History website and get swallowed up in excellence!
